Summary: Assurety Consulting, a leader in the postal/parcel ecosystem, seeks highly qualified applicants for a Data Analyst position. This is a full-time position in Washington, D.C., with a hybrid working opportunity 2-3 days a week remotely. This position requires a US Postal Service (USPS) security clearance and the applicant must be either a US Citizenship or a Green Card holder.

The Sr. Data Analyst-Scientist- Azure must have a minimum of 6 years of professional experience analyzing data needs, and will work under the guidance and direction of a Lead Analyst and Project Manager. In addition, the Data Scientist will be responsible for using applied statistics to develop solutions, data mining, data analysis, data summarization and developing client presentations.

 

Conditions of Employment (REQUIRED):

  • US Citizenship or Green Card.
  • The position requires security clearance.
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • 9 years of proven experience as a Data Scientist/Analyst/Engineer, preferably with a focus on Azure technologies.
  • Strong proficiency in programming languages such as Python
  • Experience with Azure Machine Learning, Azure Databricks, and Azure Data Lake.
  • Familiarity with data warehousing concepts and ETL processes.
  • Solid understanding of statistical methods and machine learning algorithms.
  • Proficiency in data visualization in PowerBI along with hands-on experience with SQL and DAX
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex data-related issues and propose effective solutions.
  • Strong communication skills to convey complex data insights to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

 

Experience Needed:

  • Develop and implement machine learning models using Azure Machine Learning and other Azure services.
  • Analyze large datasets to identify patterns, trends, and insights that drive business strategies.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define project requirements and deliver data-driven solutions.
  • Conduct exploratory data analysis (EDA) and feature engineering to enhance model performance.
  • Create and maintain data pipelines using Azure Data Factory and related tools.
  • Write optimized SQL & DAX for data transformation and calculation within reports
  • Create interactive dashboards and reports using Power BI and other visualization tools.
  • Collaborate with end users to gather reporting and data analysis requirements
  • Ensure data quality and integrity through rigorous data validation processes.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest trends in data science and machine learning technologies.
  • Document processes, methodologies, and best practices for reproducibility.
