Summary: Assurety Consulting, a leader in the postal/parcel ecosystem, seeks highly qualified applicants for a Data Analyst position. The Sr. Data Analyst-ETL Engineer works with the Project Manager and is responsible for collaborating with the team and lead activities to maintain the infrastructure and workflows for ETL processes. ETL experts are part of a data team that transforms raw data into actionable insights. Implements state-of-the-practice systems and technology in the Client’s environment, using leading approaches, concepts, and ideas. Researches and evaluates system designs to select appropriate technology and use resources efficiently. Evaluate and recommend COTS applications and methodologies that can be acquired to provide technology solutions. Develops transition strategies and plans to cut over legacy systems. Performs Project Management functions by Project Management Institute (PMI) standards.

Preferred Applicant Characteristics:

  • A data analyst who uses statistics, computer science, and business acumen to help organizations understand themselves and achieve their goals.
  • Designing data storage systems, extracting, transforming, and loading data to build a data pipeline.
  • Ensuring efficient and accurate data integration.
  • Must have 8+ years’ business and technical analysis experience in a client-facing role with the ability to use PowerPoint, Excel, and other graphical tools such as Qlik, Power BI, Tableau, or MicroStrategy to report to upper management the results of the analysis.
  • Must understand relational databases; past database development and data analysis experience is needed.
  • Must have prior customer support experience to be able to work with customers and explain the report’s decisions and trends to them.
  • Must have experience in SAS, Teradata and Oracle ETL processes and reporting.
  • Proficiency in Excel (Pivot Tables) and Programming Languages (SQL, R, Python, Tableau, JavaScript, C#).
  • Possesses skills to convert client needs into software requirements.
  • Problem-solving skills to recognize, analyze, and respond to business and technical problems.
  • Ability to work independently without direct supervision for day-to-day tasks.
  • Organized and attentive to details.

Experience Needed:

    • At least 8 years experience in analyzing data needs, business needs, and performing business.process engineering, proposing solutions.
    • At least 8 years’ experience in business and technical analysis in a client-facing role.
    • At least 7 years experience in data modeling activities.
    • At least 7 years of experience in statistical analysis system (SAS) 9.0 or some equivalent analysis software
    • Verbal and written communication skills must be at a professional level.
